Apart from the Sportiva Jackal's main talking points of active rebound and comfort, you also get everything else you want in a high end trail shoe. The sole is carefully constructed with duel density rubbers and flex grooves so that the shoe behaves exactly how it should. There is a front insert which increases the cushioning and rear insert which provides awesome stabilisation. There's also a high density EVA Rock-Shield. So as your feet get tired, sore and swollen on long runs, the Jackal is there to keep it protected, comfortable and provide that little extra spring in your step.
